Powering Progress in Lofa County
‎To our valued communities in Voinjama, Foya, Massambolahun, Bolahun, Kolahun, and all surrounding towns including our starting point, Mbaloma we bring you exciting updates on the Lofa Hybrid Power Project.
‎The Rural and Renewable Energy Agency (RREA), with support from the World Bank through the Liberia Renewable Energy Access Project (LIRENAP) and the Liberia Electricity Strengthening and Access Project (LESAP), is making steady and impactful progress.
‎Installation of 5,712 solar photovoltaic modules (4MWp capacity) is underway, with all steel mounting structures already completed
‎Ongoing construction of perimeter fencing and other key infrastructure across the 40-acre project site
‎Arrival of a 15MWh Battery Energy Storage System expected before the end of May
‎1.8MW backup diesel generator installed and tested
‎Over 350 km of medium and low voltage lines completed
‎Connection of 10,000 homes, businesses, and public facilities is actively ongoing
